I am getting no work, either. This is fristrating, especially since I'm used to haveing a lot of it. I checked the log and it seems that it hasn't had work all night. I leave my rig on 24/7 so BOINC can run when I'm not home. The longest it takes for me to process a WU is 2 hours. Do they allot how many WU's a rig can have or is it just luck of the draw?

No, its completely random. Whichever host asks for work at the exact second there is a workunit available will be assigned that workunit.

Remember that SETI makes no claims to have work available 24/7/365. There will be times when no work is available.

I have had now for a day and a half, finished my last one at 15:12 BST, now crunching something else which I will do until Seti WUs are downloading again. I must be unlucky as it has said that there was around 400 WUs about 40 minutes before my machine asked for them. So I will now let World Community Grid crunch away.

My work machine downloaded a shedfull of units earlier today but I've had nothing new here for nearly 24 hours. I presume it is the extra demand from Einstein works looking for something to do.
Given the recent past I suspect availability will be random and fortunate when you get it. Got a few hours left here anyway.

I see, I see. Well, that certainly is disappointing. I guess I'll crunch some other stuff in the mean time.

I'm going to have to attach to another project until this is fixed.... I only have 2 WUs left!

Yup. I've got a few of my hosts chomping on SIMAP. But not all of the ones I pointed their way have gotten WU's. Just another project to keep in mind though.

They may be suffering from server overload also. I've notice it takes several request every every time I top up my queue. They've only put up 75000 WU so far so you better get them while you can.

I read in the astropulse info from the front page that it seems that we have no choice but to run AP with SETI Enhanced.

Perhaps this only affects those of us running optimized apps and have to update app_info.xml to accommodate AP too?

The cricket graphs look a bit ragged, but no big gaps that would explain the lack of work.

You can use an app_info.xml file to select either Astropulse-only or Multibeam-only, even if you don't use optimized clients.

You would have to be prepared to change the app_info.xml if the main application for the project changed.

Things seem to be getting better, 800+ WU's ready to leave, but i can't get a connection. I get the "server temporarily down" message.

Are the download servers down, waiting for the ready queue to be fuller?

just wondering.

I've got several ghost WU's in my Tasks for user - but neither of my hosts have work right now.

This may or may not work right now... I have a PS3 that is attached with only AP in it's app_info.xml, but it now has 8 ghost enhanced [edit] Multibeam [/edit] WUs that the project tried to send it. I just detached and re-attached to try to free up the WUs. I don't know if this is somehow specific to the PS3. Just something to consider.
