Message 790496 - Posted: 31 Jul 2008, 17:51:10 UTC

When I looked this afternoon at my X9650, running XP64
saw, about hundred WU's ended in calculating error's!
Nothing on the x86 host's.
It runs the latest BOINC 6.2.14, with AK_V8_SSE4.1 opti app.
Absolutely no idea what's going wrong.
Anybody noticing similar problems?

If you're getting calc errors and wingmen are not, then try winding back the overclock. If wingmen are getting them too, then don't worry about it, it's wonky WU's.

I have no experiences with this message.. hmm.. something new..
But I think this is a problem with your PC or the BOINC client or something other.. ;-)

EDIT:
Two examples of your errors.. and your wingmen have well results..

Have you restarted your computer since upgrading to a version 6 client? That is an error I would expect when the new groups do not have their permissions set correctly. A restart will normally fix it, if not reinstall and reboot and see if that helps.

Thanks very much for your answers, got the host UP & RUNning, could be the problem off a 'double install resedue'.
BOINC 6.1.0. ran on normal conditions and 6.2.14 ran on administrator level and was installed in 2 places: X:\Documents and Settings and X:\BOINC
The previous was installed in X:\Program Files\BOINC\projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu
And the registry is full off @$%^YU . A REinstall would be best!

Did have the x64 version installed, but reinstalled now, after uninstalling, ofcoarse.
(There where 2 install's, 1 complete, 6.2.14 and the remainings off 6.1.0 in X:\Program Files, the new, install in X:\Documents and Settings and X:\BOINC)

The trouble is even bigger, I've burned my RAM stick's, so turned back the OC (a little) to 3320MHz (QX9650), 10x332, since a have/get no work for this host, have now Ubuntu 7.10 installed and active, works OK, BOOT's from DVD/CD in 16 sec.
Also tried to get work from EINSTEIN, servers are down, NO work and didn't succeed in gettin ASTRO-PULSE WU's
Ordered new RAM, ran mine @ 505MHz!And that was too much, I think.
And my apologies to my wingmen and the fact, that these WU's have to be calculated again, only takes (precious)time.
But,Keep on crunching . . . :)
