Cricket

And "Current result creation rate" has dropped to 1.50/sec.

Looks like something filled up again.

I sent in a 700w psu under RMA(It killed a motherboard in PC2) and I got this 900w psu back from OCZ(I went out in the 106F heat to the Post Office to get My mail), Somebody likes Me @ OCZ or that's what they had on hand.

Back to Topic(Panic?): I'm getting this on all the PCs that are doing Seti here.

Great .gif....

I was able to fill up one PC with my daily 400 earlier today, but then still couldn't upload, so disabled network activity...no need pounding the servers...My other 3 PCs have enough to do for a few days yet...

Outbound network traffic has dropped off, but i think that may be due to a lack of work. Inbound traffic is right up & the most recent server update on the splitters & ready to Send buffer was over 50 minutes ago. Scarecrow's graphs show that the queue had pretty much emptied out by then & the splitters hadn't ramped up their result creation rate at all.
Now when trying for work all i'm getting are "No work from project" messages.

It's now back up to 11, unfortunately demand is around the 25-30 range. Looks like the system's all choked up again.

Right now, the servers are choked with workunits out in the field and no place for the splitters to put new workunits to be downloaded. Clearly, additional disk space is needed, but with Berkeley's budget constraints, it won't happen. At least not quickly.

If everyone would REDUCE their cache size to only TWO days, or even only ONE day, there would be adequate disk space for the system to operate efficiently.

Also, please be sure to upload and report finished workunits promptly to get them off the system.

It is the hoarding of workunits that is causing most of the problems right now.

Sure, there are occasional breakdowns, but they are usually recovered within 24 hours or less, so a TWO day cache is more than enough for most circumstances.

And so what if you run dry for a few hours once in a while? Crunch another project or save a little electricity by shutting down over night.

Oh, yes, remember to be grateful to Eric, Matt, Jeff and Bob for the hard work and dedication they do for the project. The frustration level must be high, and the pay is certainly low. Thanks, Guys.

Hey Hey It's Saturday <burst of maniacal laughter>
Server status shows 217,328 WU's available as of 40 minutes ago but there's nothing coming out.

Oh Well, back to WCG <shrug>

Trying to return workunits myself and I'm also getting "project servers my be temporarily down" message.

I should have figured as much when I saw scarecrow's graph on "results received in last hour" took a noticeable dip over the last hour.
