Nothing for me thanks...just some new kitty homes for my feline friends at the shelter. That would make me as happy as anything else.

Thats even better.. ;-) Coconut doesnt need a moon on her own. But those
kitties need homes. Let`s consentrate on the important stuff. My little

Well, give your little Dolly a scratch behind the ears for me and thank her for sending her little kitty wishes our way.

Have you read Robert Heinlein's stories about the moon colony (that's where the title for the song "The Moon's a Harsh Mistress" which you linked recently comes from.)

Hmmm.. no, I have not read anything about the moon ;-) but if you have those stories, you can maybe use tomorrow to scan them and send them to me in an e-mail.. lol (rememer - its Sunday - and that may give time for such important stuff.. ehrm. And maybe I can get to know why they say the moon is
so harsh?? ;-p

Sorry my dear, no scanning - I have a life! You should be able to find a copy on Ebay or wherever (the correct title of the book is "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress".) If you want to see a bit more about it, try some of the reviews on Amazon (avoid the Wikipedia page - too much of a spoiler.)

Sorry, I do not know, is this a correct thread to speak about future vehicles, but here it is anyway. It is in Norwegian language (I do not understand it). :)

I hope it will be reality sooner rather than later. ;)

Imagine flying around the Earth in just under 7.5 hours! :)

PS. Concorde's average flying speed was Mach 2.02, so maybe Mach 4.5 is really achievable sooner rather than later. :)

Hi Henri,
There are planes that travel that fast or faster. One of them is the SR-71 Blackbird that was retired from service several years ago.

Thanks for the info. Cool to know that.

Mach 6.70 is the fastest according to this. Those planes are rocket-powered, though. ;)

With so many single boys here, you don't actually have to leave these boards, IMHO. ;)
