Now I really want some hot Toddy ;-)
It has been blowing storm for 2 days,
worst today..and its going to continue
tomorrow..a bit better Saturday, then
another storm on Sunday.. I`ll better
make a large pot.. ;-)

..and maybe someone wants to join also..

Spiced Guy Fawkes Night Punch
(Makes approximately 18 glasses)

Equipment & Ingredients

• 2 bottles inexpensive red wine (approx. 1.2 ltrs / 2 pts)

• 1 bottle medium dry cider (approx. 20 fl oz / 1 pt)

• ½ - 1 carton unsweetened apple juice

• 2 - 3 spice bags for mulled wine

• 10 cloves

• The juice and finely pared zest of 2 - 3 oranges

• 3 Cox’s Pippin apples, cored and sliced

• 3 bay leaves

• 280g / 10oz Whitworths golden granulated sugar, or sweeten to taste

Add all the ingredients to a large pan and bring the liquid to boiling point. Reduce to
a gentle simmer and leave for 20 minutes. Add fresh slices of apple and orange. Serve hot.

..and I like this.. ;-)

Use decorative biscuit cutters to cut the orange skin into stars and moons to float on top of the punch.

My guess is more like 9, or even 6, glasses. :-)

That definately looks good. I'll have to be sure to make up a batch soon. Thanks for the recipe Moon!

I agree with you Mumps.. i dont think it can
reach for 18 glasses.. that must have been counted out
by someone close-fisted, who dont want to fill them
up properly ;-) Better make a double recipe.. Yes!

I hope we can make the "New Moon" even better JD for our Landlady and founder.

I have cleared out the freezer and the perishibles to transport them to our new watering hole.
Anyone got a truck big enough to carry the Pool Table?

Cheersh...hic
