Sorry I wuz wrong.
The first night race is Singapore next month.
The race this coming Sunday is the first street race in Valencia. Following two very successful America's Cup competitions Valencia decided to give F1 a shot and it's proving to be a real money maker for the city.

Kimi is fastest in second practice session.

Quallies' start at 12-00 GMT Saturday. Fingers Xed for Ferrari to claim the grid one-two slots.

It's a 'First" Matt and Valencia are hoping that they will become the new "Monaco".
Monaco is now expanded to the limit for track safety, spectator facilities and boat mooring facilities. Hotel rooms in Monaco, overlooking the circuit are now running at more than $12,000 per day and a berth at Monaco; if you can get one; is more than $300,000 for the race weekend!

FYI. David Coulthard who will retire at the end of this season after 15 years in F1 has been a resident of Monaco for more than a decade and has just purchased his third hotel there! But I suppose that he can afford it when one of his "Toys" is a R.V valued at more than $2 Million.

Oof, concrete barrier walls, chances are the safety car will be out a few times. You think Kimi took some time during the three week break to regain his focus on racing, or to go clubbing?
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

My local F1 Club in Dubai is based at the "Horse & Jockey" English Pub. We congregate there every race weekend to watch the Quallies and the Race on the big screen with a side screen that gives us live feed timings direct from F1.com.
It took me two years to work my way forward in the room to a table at the front; it's so popular.
I watch the race with English Fish n Chips or a steak or Roast Beef n Yorkshire Pud and Draft Tetley's or John Smiths Ale.
When you arrive; on production of your members card; you are given a form to fill out to predict the podium finishers and the driver who will set the fastest lap. The prizes for a correct prediction are your choice of; a gallon of beer, (Imperial Gal), Bottles of wine, Dinner for two, F1 Team T-Shirt & Cap of your choice and other prizes.
Even in the Schumacher/Barrichello era at Ferrari it wasn't easy to predict the third place finisher.
Three years ago after a rain drenched GP when the safety car came out a record number of times the F1 Club started another competition; to predict the number of times that the safety car would come out. The last time I won that comp' was the Monaco GP last year!

I dont think massa will get punnished.
It was a team fault and massa did step back.

Kimi made a big mistake again but the guy seems to be oK so far.

They showed A replay of Kimi's oops by the looks of it he jumped the gun trying to beat Mclaren out of the pit. Then he is engine took A turn for the worst on the next lap. Listening to Bob Varsha this is the second engine failure Ferrari has had on the new engine. The next race is SPA which will be interesting to say the least.

Kimi had the same engine as massa in budapest so it has the same failure.
Massa got a new one so its possibly fixed.

Another item mention in today race was that Ferrari had overheating issues with the front breaks. I do not see this being an issue at SPA since it is not A street course.

I would hire Alonso instead of Raikkonen if I were the Ferrari Racing team Manager.

Alonso is a Prima Donna. If he had stayed with McLaren he may well have been on the way to his 4th world title by now but he let his petulant personality get in the way of his professional ambitions.
When he announced that he was leaving McLaren they bent over backwards to try and keep him. Then he announced that he would never return to Renault even though they had carried him to his two titles?
He was hoping that Ferrari would pick him up and when they didn't he signed for Renault!
The man is a twit.

I insist on Alonso. At least he arrives, on a vastly inferior car.
