Wow, looks pretty neat, also looks like it could run pretty hot, what kind of temperatures are you seeing? (Like the fan held down with twist-ties!) -Dave |

Hi Dave, here is a V8-Xeon cpuz and here are the actual core temps Roomtemperature is 25 celsius. The sensor on the FB-DIMM memory shows 49 celsius. This is with empty load, no overclocking, no crunching. The 12cm-fans of the cpus running very slowly, there is a additional 12cm fan at the backside too. All PWM powered automatic from the board. The two 20cm big fans on the case are running with lowest speed. I can switch of these two and regulate the speed from outside. I hoping the server will run cool under full load too. heinz D5400XS V8-Xeon |

Hi Dave, V8-Xeon-Server is now under full load it crunches at same time 8wus see the temp under full load, this looks moderate cool. The sensor on the FB-Dimms show now 71 celsius. Now runs the burn in test. there you can see the machine and the first results. happy crunching heinz |

What's that? A 200MMX upgrade straight up to a 1kW Skulltrail?... ! OK, quite an upgrade! How well does that system do for such as folding@home for utilising the GPU? Nice work! What's that? LOL, a Skulltrail doesn't do folding, it MAKES YOU do the folding ;D "Living by the wisdom of computer science doesn't sound so bad after all. And unlike most advice, it's backed up by proofs." -- Algorithms to live by: The computer science of human decisions. |

Hi, now after 24hours full load temperatures are moderate cool. Sensor of the FB-DIMM shows constant 68 celsius, cpu temps are 43 - 55 celsius. Boinc shows round 4000 credit/24hours. Its a nice speedup, my P4 Northwood 2,6Ghz shows 400 credit/day, means 10x more. heinz |

Hi all, Are You sure that's a 7 port KVM Mark? As I see 8 buttons in that image, As Amazon says(among others) that You have an 8 port KVM. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

Yes indeedy....error in my original post.....it is indeed an 8 port switch....handles all 8 rigs on the farm.... You are correct, my eagle-eyed friend. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Switched over to the SSSE3x app now. So we will see if it is faster for this machine. heinz |

SSSE3x the FB-DIMM sensor shows constant 70C, Roomtemp 26C and SSSE3x CPU temps against SSE4.1 CPU temps. No big difference, so we can be happy with it. heinz |
