Could you please start the BOINC client with "./boinc_client -no_gui_rpc". Looks like the GUI RPC port could not be bind. Is the localhost entry right set in the /etc/hosts ? - Did a ping localhost work ? - Could you ping your hostname (rupsha) ? |

Could you please start the BOINC client with "./boinc_client -no_gui_rpc". Hi, Thanks for your reply. Yes I can ping both rupsha and localhost (they are the same machine). Here is my /etc/hosts file. 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.1.1 rupsha # The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts ::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback fe00::0 ip6-localnet ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix ff02::1 ip6-allnodes ff02::2 ip6-allrouters ff02::3 ip6-allhosts ~ 'boinc_client -no_gui_rpc' says 'This computer is not attached to any projects'. That's OK. It simply states you didn't attach to SETI yet. The easiest way to fix this is to copy the "account_setiathome.berkely.edu.xml" file from your other, working host to your linux BOINC folder. Regards Hans |
