That kind of makes it suck x 2. Doesn't give one much time to consider one's options. Just don't lose too much momentum, that old 'get right back on the horse' thing, don't ya know. Here's hoping you score that 20 hour/week $250,000/year job in the very near future!

I've already put down a reserve for that job. Still looking after 4 years.

i knew i shouldnt have gotten up this morning, got let go from my job today. oh well there is jobs galore out here in alberta....

I feel for ya, bud. I had a job for 17 years.....made good jing.....then the boss retired, sold out, and I was outta work for the next 3-1/2 years......sux.
Take my advice.......don't do as I did.......
I retreated into da bottle, spent every last dime I had at the tavvy, and took comfort in the advice of those who had little more than a pot to p in than I did at the time.
Pick yourself up by the bootstraps, take inventory of what you have to offer the job market, and go for it......you will come out on top.
I happened to be looking for work at about the worst time in US history for unemployment......and really hit bottom.
