Last I looked http://www.dslreports.com/ was under a DOS attack and are down, When they were last up this morning they mentioned in a PM about changing the address slightly, But that didn't help at all. And their still down now, They did say they were going to get some hardware to protect their ports though, Otherwise I get this: The connection was reset The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Hi all, Seems okay to me Heinz. sometimes it slows down a little though. There's been plenty of activity over there since publishing, so I guess some link between you and Lunatics might be borked. Maybe you can try bouncing off some web proxy somewhere, I haven't tried that sort of thing myself, but understand it can sometimes help in cases where a dodgy route lays between yourself and your destination. Hi Jason, Thanks Heinz for the thoughts and I may just do that! :D I hope the broken connection fixes for you soon. As you are in Europe I tried a web proxy based in Germany and it finds Lunatics OK: (might be worth a try for you) go to http://freeproxy.uk.to in your web browser, and put http://lunatics.kwsn.net in the URL address box and click "Surf Now" That may, hopefully, allow you to bypass the broken web segment. You can find a list of alternate free web proxies (some good, some probably not) at http://proxy.org/proxies_sorted.shtml Jason "Living by the wisdom of computer science doesn't sound so bad after all. I've had no problems there from the UK either last night or this morning. But given the recent battering their servers must have taken with the KA seti release I think we can forgive them a hiccup or two. ![]() |
