I have a Question? Did You build Your PCs Yourself or are they pre-made OEM PCs? If their OEMs, Faster Ram might help, If It's supported by the Bios, If not You're wasting Your money, Get an Optimized app that will work with Your PCs, You will need SSSE3 for the Q6600 and SSE2 for the AMD and right now the best ones are the 2.4V based on Crunch3r's website(Google this also). To install them in each PC, You need to stop Boinc, Open the Boinc folder, Open the projects folder, then Open the Seti folder and copy the 3 files in the "Files to Install" folder from Your zip file(s) that You've downloaded to their respective PCs seti folders, then start Boinc up, As You should be done now.

Not at this time, So far there is an alpha that would allow seti to be crunched on a video card, But You would have to have an 8000 or newer Nvidia video card and It's not been released by whomever is working on It, Maybe somebody more knowledgeable will chime in and fill You in on this.

Sorry, I couldn't be more helpful.

Only in the sense that if you run the screen saver or the little display window that the load on the CPU mat be reduced.

The primary place where you may see a significant change is with lower end MB they will have video on the MB and will use a portion of the the main memory for video memory. Again, in this case you may see, and *I* did see an improvement by adding a video card. I saw a better increase with a better MB ... but at the time, the other MB was essentially free with the rebate and it was better than my lowest end system ... so I got it, then later got a better MB and moved the CPU and RAM to the new MB ...

Note: the slowdown on the above system could be minimized if:
1. System is used for crunching only
2. Screen saver is not used (auto-power down monitor after x min. idle)
3. Install enough memory that video memory use doesn't result in paging.
