well at least they did say "Oh frack.. spaceballs"

I'm disappointed that they did not reveal the ruth of the opera house. I' freaked about the episode because- as the team can atest to my claims several weeks ago I had a nightmare detailing the fleet arriving to the Earth in the Terminator venues... That was the first thought that flashed in my mind when I saw what the setting of that final scene.

I also did not like the filtering of the camera lense- it made it seem like a dream sequence.

Considering that it was the "Mid-Season Finale" there's still more to come.

I'm hearing it's off air until 2009? That sounds like a season 5 and not 4 1/2 no matter what they want to call it.

SNIP..... Most disappointing closing episode ever.

I should put a === spoiler === in here but since I too was rather disapointed with this episode (s4/e10) and because the majority of people in the UK haven't even yet seen the start of series 3 of BSG I would like to warn them:

IT's PANTS...

I suspect I know what is going to come next... Some Disney Magic.... and we will all live happily ever after...

Oh from the Martian Chronicles to the Planet of the Apes. Are these guys capable of original thought? ...SNIP...

No insult to Americans but most long standing sci-fi from the US seems to end in the producers wondering how they can end the series quickly...

(IE: Startrek... Rushed endings = Magical Salvations.)

I suspect we will get a Tinkerbell ending with a sprinkle of magic dust.

I spent 2 years (I was a slow starter) following this series...

Was it all a dream. Will there be a time warp.

Brilliant series but only Mickey Mouse could get them out of this conundrum.

But then... who knows....

I guess that sometimes in allegory we are knocked down before we are lifted..

Let's hope.

The series finally is slated for a January 2009 airing. As stated on several sites, this is a ratings ploy. They want to hold off and blast us with the finale when they know they can secure the ratings.

Airing the finale in January eliminates the competition of new shows, mid-season finales, football, and other sports. And this year specifically- in the US the political events around Election 08.

All I have to say is- It better be worth the fracking waite.

it would be nice to see them close out the series as they had opened it- with a lengthy mini-series. But i've not heard or read anything about the length.

I'm hoping that they do not pull the same crap the people behind Buffy and Charmed did. Those series finales were highly disappointing.

It's my personal opinion that shows with 'planned' closures like these should be given as strong of a closing as their openings.

It's already disappointing. They always show 1/2 a season at a time but at least its done within the same year; and 4.5 should be this fall. So not only do they not know what season number January should be... and here's the kicker... they haven't written the next 1/2 season yet. So even they don't know how things will turn out.

I wonder if they'll show up to Comic Con next month.

Do you really think / believe that they want to compete against Barrack vs Mccaine during the most important season of the year?

"Barrack vs Mccaine"?

Is that a 'sci-fi' or 'soap-opera'?...

(I'm not from the USA so forgive my ignorance... Hehehe...)

It's definitely a soap opera that's for certain.

I really doubt there will be exciting political breaking news on Friday nights at 10pm.

February or March I think. They poured their resources into that new Caprica prequel series. My guess is they spread the writing staff too thin and it's gonna flop. Let's not forget when Chris Carter took his writing team off the X-Files to write for Millennium. And there was another show too (I forget the name). FLOP FLOP FLOP.

BSG at Comic Con 2008

Edit: After watching the video it appears that they have already filmed the remaining episodes of BSG. My guess is they are holding off on them to generate more interest (ie higher ratings) in the new Caprica series.
