What faith? I believe in Kitty power with Fish as a backup soon. ;)

LOL....without faith there is nothing....
Ya gotta believe in something....and I believe I'll have another round...LOL.

Actually, I believe I must reboot some rigs here.....
There were some awfully strong storms thru here last night.

The power berked on me, and the AC kicked the breaker out....when I woke up this morning, it was over 95 in the crunching den....bad news.

Just discovered that 4 of my rigs succumbed to heat exhaustion....I took advantage of the power down to remove the kitty hair from the cooling fans.....OMG, you should see that mat of fur behind those fans......

Since the restart of the upload server things have been going along nicely.
However the next few days could be interesting as all the work i've been getting have been short Work Units (approx 16 min or so). Not a single longer Work Unit amongst them.
So it looks like the system's going to be under a pretty heavy load for a while even after everyone's cleared their upload & download backlogs.

To quote the most hated Star Wars character of all times, Jar Jar Binks, "Messa thinka we needa more File_Delete tasks."

2.3 million workunits and 4.9 million results waiting to purge is about 4 to 5 times higher than normal and now appears to be the current database bottleneck. Or does the DB purge task take care of that? Either or the results tables is full of files needing removal.

Just had a look at Scarecrow's Graphs & it looks like the Result & Work Unit purge processes have stalled again.
The numbers are making their way skyward.

There's definately something funny going on with the servers (that's funny peculiar, not funny haha).
Along with the occasional Work Unit & Result purging grinding to a halt, the assimilator appears to be having problems as well. And once it finally gets it's act together & clears the backlog, it stops again & the queue starts growing once again.
The Server Status page shows 3 splitters not running, but it's more than keeping up with demand at the moment so that's not a problem (at this time).

Hmmmm.

I'm currently getting HTTP internal server error messages at the moment. Got two machines trying to report in work...

Never surrender and never give up. In the darkest hour there is always hope.
