I was just curious. A radio signal that would pass by large objects such as stars would be deflected or distorted by the oject's gravity, therefore rendering the signal into garbled noise. Given the vast ammount of stars and potential signal sources out there, this would further hinder our hopes of detecting any signals. Has SETI come up with any methods for dealing with this issue ? |
