I don't know when this happened, but I just noticed that there is no longer an option to sort columns in the S&H interface. The tops have no arrows.
I'm certain that I was not imagining that there was one previously. I used if often to see the deadlines vs received order of results.
Anyone else seeing this... problem.

Whenever I click on the tab/button at the top of a column, then an arrow appears. You can also adjust the width of the column by hoving over the lines that are between the column buttons and dragging the line to where ever you want them to be.

I can sort by project, application, name, CPU time, progress, to completion, report deadline, and status, under the Tasks Tab.

I run Seti 5.30 using boinc 5.10.30, which is an optimized client on this computer, but it also works on my other computer using seti 5.27 on boinc 5.10.30.

It also depends what you choose on the 'View' menu.

Accessible view --> not sortable
Grid view --> sortable

Sometimes the selection marker on the menu doesn't match what you're actually viewing - switch it a couple of times to make sure. If you can see a graphical fill-in rectangle behind the Progress %age, you're in grid view and they should be sortable.

Once you've played around with sorting, does anyone know a way of getting them back into 'as issued' order without using regedit?

I've been scratching my head over that one also. Thanks for the answer and the question!

Glad the Q & A helped.

Any takers for the supplementary?

Exit from Boingmgr and start it up again. It doesn't seem to remember what column sorts you had when it shuts down. You need to right-click on the tray icon and choose exit to shut it down.

Mine does (BOINC v5.10.13). It writes it in the registry and brings it back when I re-open the manager:

Yes, so does my 5.10.28.

Frustrating isn't it?...

As a stopgap measure,clicking on the Progress tab twice will bring the haves to the top of the have nots.

Personally, I'm intending to complete my cache, accept new tasks and leave it in what ever order it wants ... lol
