Greetings!
It is a pitty that the weather will not be an allied force this time for getting a glimpse of the sky tonight, even at 28 degrees N of the Equator and 15 degrees W of Greenwich: Gran Canaria. :(

At this time, the weather got better: though it has been raining slightly, there are cloudy skies now with a thin layer that allows the Moon to shine through....

I am working a public outreach event for a local jr high school for the eclipse. Gotta teach the kiddies because with budget cuts the school system sure wont do it. Speaking of which I gotta get going or im gonna be late!

The posted photos are great. I went out three times to visually watch. After a snow flurry in the afternoon, the temperature was about 270 K and windy. Used ten x binoculars too. Brilliantly clear sky.

And everyone who looked where the sky was clear saw the same image, unlike the narrow path of a solar eclipse. My location is about 12 km NW of DC.

I just had to laugh out loud when I read your post: It is the first time I see someone using Kelvin degrees to express the outside temperature!!! Usually you use the US and British Farenheit scale instead of the Celsius scale. The Kelvin scale is more likely to be used for laboratory and experiments issues, where a bigger scale is needed. I found it funny and original!!
Cheers!

I was hoping to catch two events. The eclipse, and the missile v satellite explosion. All I got were clouds making funny faces.

Lucked out and the clouds parted well before the event. It was too chilly for me outside but we could see it beautifully from the front door. What fun!

That eclipse was and is of particular interest to scholars.
