I can only do a Homer Simpson sort of drool at some of the gear in use, but when my main PC was put together, it was pretty competent as was my partner's. Aside from a few things being replaced, like cases, a Graphics card and an HSF they are as built 3 or 4 years ago - with plenty of work left in them. Both running standard app at the moment. The one you wrote of is for win32 only. I'm running Fedora 7 x86_64 (linux). Crunch3r hasn't released a 64-bit Linux version with graphics. When/If he does, then I'll definitely switch. |
