Actually the log file is telling you what is happening (highlighted in red). A quick check shows there are two machines that are having issues that are BOINC 5.10.28 or 5.10.30 I have highlighted the offending lines in your example log file below. Boinc in the case of the log file you shows shows that you moved the mouse or typed something and it suspended activity. This is a feature in 5.10.x so that a user can have full control while they are using the machine. If you request work while the machine is suspended due to user activity. The scheduler will request none, it has plenty. What you need to look at and adjust in your acount settings. When and how BOINC uses your computer Computing preferences Suspend work while computer is on battery power? (matters only for portable computers) no Suspend work while computer is in use? yes 'In use' means mouse/keyboard activity in last 2 minutes Suspend work if no mouse/keyboard activity in last (Needed to enter low-power mode on some computers) Enforced by version 5.10.14+ --- minutes IF this is a "Laptop" the battery settings could come into play unbeknownst to you. This is tough as it may affect many that have said nothing. With 5.10.x if a User is active whatever project tends to suspend work until the user goes away and lets the whichever project go back to work. This is controlled in your computer preferences. I am going to move a message so if the Time Date thing gets in the way... That Happens Regards Please consider a Donation to the Seti Project. |

Al, It might be better to PM this user, he has a tendency to post negativly about his problems, but, AFAIK, never responded to any of our previous answers. Andy |
