Message 712586 - Posted: 14 Feb 2008, 20:39:09 UTC

I normally leave network activity "off" during the day, only turned on a few hours mid to late evening (UTC-8).

I just turned network activity on, uploaded 3, reported 3, downloaded 1 fairly promptly.

There is more to this than "server problems."

Just had a look at the network graphs- there is no traffic; in or out.

EDIT- there is some inbound traffic, but it's half it's usual level.

All servers are OK in the Server status page, but the Results received in last hour are decreasing, and soon will come to 0.

Betsy is about to run dry on WUs. I will increase the work queue once the new parts are in and she is running stable again. Hope at least one of the boys checks in this morning.

With Network Graphs showing no activity I suppose this shows why my two rigs cannot return the WU results, on the ready to report cycle.

But it does not explain why one of my rigs was downloading fresh WUs (queue seems no smaller) and the other has crunched it's queue down to nothing.

No amount of fiddling with network activity (BOINC manager) and cache (General Preferences) allowed new WUs to download. This happened during the last 2 days.

Anyone else experienced this?
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

I thought I was bad bumping mine to 1 day, but after the last week I think 2 days might be safer (except on Vixen, which only gets run sporadically so thats going to keep minimal WU's on it)
