Well, as you said, RRipley, pannic mode is off...:)

If it is off why I am still getting http error on my download

Typically the system connect and http errors are an indication of backend saturation causing dropped connections and/or timeouts once the main problem is corrected during the recovery period.

All you can do is batten down the hatches and wait it out.

Uh-huh, now it looks like the BOINC server has got the flu - I can't get to the BOINC Dev message board, or even the main download page for BOINC itself.

Same here.. tried to open the "trac/browser/trunk/boinc/..." section and nothing showed.
Looks like we will have to wait until things are fixed.

[quote]With Network Graphs showing no activity[quote]

I see that the logs show the speed has been a pretty steady 60M bit for the last 24hrs, although it does look like it might be starting to back off a little. Maybe its everyone doubling their work queues in case the next outage is a bit longer lol

From the Server Status Page:

Results out in the field: 3,501,643 [As of 18 Feb 2008 12:00:17 UTC]

That's the first time it's ever passed 3.5 million: Matt's going to have fun compacting the database tomorrow.

Ready to send numbers is falling fast!

Looks like all the splitters have been showing a disabled status for the last 12 hours or so.
eeek!

[edit]
Guess we just needed to let 'em know we were watching... last server history update has all the splitters clean and green. Go figure.

I am getting maintenance messages and the project is shut down. I can understand from last night but not this morning. Does a server need kicking again?

All the additional load tripped the breaker on the router again :) Seriously though, it is an odd reduction in throughput - the previous ones are usually drop straight to 0, but this one drops, then slowly reduces to 0.

Anyway, they will fix it tomorrow I guess. I still have 40hrs worth of work left to grind through

Well, almost working. I finally got some to upload but they are all sitting waiting for the validators to do their thing... :)

edit: Ok. now I'm happy. The validators finally woke up. :)

Still some Cricket bandwidth problems

I saw that my collection of WUs had reported their results, and I had most of my stuff credited. But, there is some problems uploading results, then confirming the results. Aslo downloading new WUs.

Still early days after the last 20 hours.
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues
