Well it is installed not sure if its working yet. I think its getting reporting errors. Oh well not as bad as when I tried to install Itunes. lol My DVD drive dissapeared. :( don't these guys and gals over at Microsoft use a Ipod lol

Based on your two good returned results, it looks like you've got all the wrinkles ironed out.

Yes. Working good. And I just did a reqular install in a separate directory. c:/Bonic
It takes about 3 hours to complete one unit now and I can run 2 clients at the same time. :)

Add in the appropriate optimised client from Crunch3r and that 3 hours will come down significantly.

Please be careful with the terminology, Fred.

Changing the client (BOINC) will make a marginal difference, at best, and probably no detectable difference at all.

It's changing the science application (SETI) that makes the significant difference. Optimised SETI apps are available from the same website.

I mention it because there seem to have been a number of people recently that believe that, just because Crunch3r's BOINC client reports higher benchmark values, it actually speeds their computer up by that proportion. Not true.

Apologies (and thanks for the correction, Richard). I meant to say "Optimised App" - fingers considered smacked and ears burning :(
