Perhaps Seti@Home should be like the No Spin man Bill O'Reilly, make people be a premium (paying) member before being able to post. Though that would only keep the poorer riffraff out. The riffraff with jobs or trust funds and enough determination would be able to post. But Seti would profit.

Problem is, its a volunteer project, who accepts donations which are tax-deductable in the USA. They can't charge to be able to post.

Nice thought tho. :-)

Maybe they should charge people to be moderators? Hmmm, now thats a different idea. :-)

They'll only end up getting quickly voted out for not following the beat of the same drum.

Eric's drum is the only beat that matters.

Not when established mods gang up on individual mods, one at a time...? Allowing you to do that is Eric's issue. And quit hiding behind Eric and trying to put the onus on him; it is his giving you freedom of action that you should be taking responsibility for, and not him.

Hey Dogbytes, why don't you stop your attacks and negativity and accusations. Try being positive and stick to it.

That's a well thought out reply...thank you for sharing.

Yes, I remember well when that happened. Back in the spring...

. . . In the Past 7 Years (+), i have seen many a Change here @ the SETI

Boards - Most are Important changes that allow each of us here to express

Ourselves openly regarding Our Interests and Lives . . .

TIME is an Important Factor with Berkeley - and the Changes are - for

the Most Part - a Good thing - from what i see

- THOUGH - again, it takes Time to work out the many factors in a Forum and

with this Project - being what it stands for - and the Fact that THIS IS THE

REASON Each of Us are here in the First Place - WE EACH have to have Patience -

with the limited Resources available - work out the 'kinks' per se - in a System

that has gotten somewhat more Complex since the Classic Days . . .

so, All in All - We simply have to allow the Berkeley Administration the TIME

Factor to do that which it does and let All things 'iron' themselves out - as

they always have . . . Crunch On SETIites, Crunch On!!!

~ Peace ~

This is an example of most of the problem. People refuse to just drop it. Stop sniping at each other for past problems. Reminds me of the Hatfields and the McCoys. These two tribes had a minor problem that escallated until there was nobody left on either side.

All sides just have to drop the past grievances. Continue on from now. Do not bring up past actions.

Everyone directly involved knows exactly what I am talking about. Nobody else really needs the details. Everybody needs to bury the hatchet (and NOT in each other).

This has been beat to death.

In order to preserve anything useful from being destroyed, I now lock this thread. It has been on and off topic enough times.

If you have anything to add that is useful you are welcome to post in
Why Astro got banished and other issues on moderation policy.
