Hi Moon, Beets, and Chris.
I see you have broken out the really good stuff. I thought I would drop in for an Irish Mist but...

Sure, we've got just the thing you'll enjoy. Arizona keeps it in stock, especially for you!

Thanks Beets, just what the Dr. ordered. You should try it on the rocks, it is very good that way as well.

I presume you mean the Baileys?

Nope, Baileys is a Cream, Irish Mist is made with mead and Irish Whiskey. You should try it. It also makes a great Irish coffee.

And a gentlemen who can spell an irish whiskey with an e!

That is the only way I know how.

Silly Beets, that's Irish Coffee , not the same thing at all!

Jeepers, you just can't get the staff these days....

Now, now, Chris. You jumped the gun on me, a bit. LOL

I may be wrong, but I think he likes the orginal Irish Mist. He'll let us know. :]]

I like both, sometimes straight is good other times on the rocks, and still other times Irish Coffee is the best. But it has to be made with the Irish Mist, otherwise it just ain't the same.

As far as I know, the spirit is generically known as Scotch. If its brewed and bottled in Scotland it's called Whisky,. If it's produced in Eireland or anywhere else in the world then it's whiskey. It's a similar thing to Champagne.

Officially, real Champagne has to be produced and bottled from grapes grown in the Champagne district of France. Anything else is called "Champagne Methode". Can taste more or less the same but actually isn't the real McCoy which of course you pay a premium for.

It's all about the producers forming collectives to ensure their prices stay high.

Isn't that the truth.

Um, it's a fine point Chris. I believe that traditionally, the Scots called it "whisky" and the Irish called it "whiskey" (with an "e"). Of course it can actually be made from several grains. Canada's best known whisk(e)y is Canadian Club. It's made from the rye grain, and is known around here as a "Rye".

FWIW. :]]

[Edit]: OOPS! It looks like I cross-posted this explanation. LOL
