Good Morning Beets! and everyone else! ;-)
Im up and feel pretty awake, strangely enough. The boys are off to school,
and I can enjoy my morning coffee and the silence.. The storm has slowed a bit. Last night it was up in hurricane for a while. There is a meassure station not long away from here, right north from me, on a firelight ;-) Well, I dont have to hear any weather news to know how bad it was for a while. I can also now see that a camping wagon that was standing 60 m from my house now does`nt Stand anymore.. it lies.. like a fallen castle.. lol.. But we are all fine out here, as far as i know now. ;-) Now I need a good breakfast. ;-)

Beets! ;-D My saviour! lol.. Thanx alot. ;-)
How are you doing? Anything i can fetch for you?

I'm doing fine, I guess, Moon of my Moon! I've had some sleep deprivation mess around with me. I went to watch some television earlier and fell asleep in my chair! EEK!

As a result of waking up late, I've missed Thursday Night dinner at the club. So now I'm starving and I'll have to put together some quick soup and a sandwich I guess.

On booze I'm less fussy than I used to be. I used to like only the most expensive drinks, cognac, champgane, port. But as long as the 'bite' isn't too bad I'll drink just about anything nowadays.

For extra special occasions, this is my favorite: Remy Martin's Cognac aged 100 years, the Fils de Louis XIII cognac in it's distinctive Bacarat crystal decanter. (It's named after a battlefield in a battle that Louis the XIII briefly participated in; the silver decanter original was found there.)

Cheers!

A Remy. I am a big a fan about it. Thanks, thats what i need this evening.

Heyas Champ!

What a good idea! I really love the Remy too! :]]

I've gotten a couple of snifter warmers out for us, so we can settle back with nicely warmed cognac for this evening.

Enjoy!

hehe... Hei! ;-) I have been out of the world for a while.. ;-)
Yes, the boys was sent to school in the middle of everything..just like Viking boys. lol. Later..well.. the elextricity went off. But since it can happen, it took a while before i understood it was only me who had lost it. It showed that a wire had fallen down not far from my house. That poor pole it hung on was more diagonal than stright up.. pP Ok.. people from the main land came and fixed it.. so.. here I am ;-) In the meantime i read a book, and the kids had to do the same when coming back from school.. in only some few candles.. lol.. its very cozy actually. Well.. now when its back i have to make som delayed dinner ;-) Hows all of you?

You had an eventful day, Moon of my Moon. It looks like you got through it just fine, I'm glad to hear.

I got up very early this morning (around 5:00 a.m). It was nice and quiet so I had a chance to catch up on some correspondence with various friends I was running behind on. So, that's done! :]]

I had a nice lunch I made at home. You know the classic old Waldorf salad? The lettce with the chopped breast of chicken, mayonaise, chopped walnuts and chopped green apples? Well I made myself a small sandwich and then stuck the contents into two white bread sandwiches. That was tasty. :]

I've got some "Daily Funnies" I have to put up on the site here, and then I'm off to a couple of stores in the east end of the city, a bulk foods store and I need to take a trip to the local Walmart to get some supplies. I may look in on a clothing store I like, just to see if they have something new for fall that I might like. So that's the plan.

Hi there Arizona, hows things now the power is back?

I've been down the village hall discussing these -

- as a company is proposing to place 10 about 2 Km from our village. Unfortunately, they will be one of the tallest land based turbines in the UK at 125 metres.

The funny thing is our county has one of the lowest average wind speeds in the UK.

The main thing driving the programme is the grants and subsidies the wind farm will get. Later it may lead to an additional 30 2.3 MW turbines. The unfortunate thing is the installed capacity will only produce 25% of the rated output, due to wind speeds, and the system is not green at all.

I need a few glasses of one of these -

Mmmhh.. yes, wind farms is good in the thought.. But then we may start to pray for only stormy days.. would be sad, dont you think? ;-) And also.. the areas that are most suitable for such parks, are also were it will be most seen as well. Its not nice. Almost looks like a scienfixtion scene ;-) They were discussing to build a park like that a bit north of my area, but it became a lot of talking against it. I honestly dont know how it goes, as nothing has been heard about it lately. I guess they have put it on ice for a while.

That is the outcome we are working towards.

The wind farms should be 10 miles offshore in the windy areas.
