Good Morning everyone!

Thank God! It's Saturday! For breakfast this morning we've got "Canadian Breakfast": French Toast and Bacon, with authentic Canadian Maple Syrup, and Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice.

Enjoy!

WOW!!! Has it ever been a long time since we've seen something truly revolutionary, a knockout gadget or software!

But as of yesterday IT HAS ARRIVED! Of all people this is Amazon's incredible hardware invention, the "Kindle". It not just the size of a pocketbook but thinner than a pencil, it's not just some Wifi portable device, it's not just some new electronic book... It's a whole portable library all in a tiny portable package. It loads itself automatically, anywhere. It's based on the KEV telephone tower system which is everywhere and no more looking for Wifi hotspots. It has an amazing new electronic paper display, no eye strain, no backlighting, you can see it clearly in any light indoors or outdoors. It comes with 250 free blogs, updated several times during the day, you can subscribe to magazines and newspapers and they're delivered to your kindle automatically. Whole books take only 2 minutes to download. You don't need any computer, only your Kindle. No battery fussing and traditional recharging battery problems like with your cell phones.

It's Amazing! It's truly Revolutionary!

You saw it here first! :]]

Take the great Demo Tour:

Kindle

This looks pretty amazing! Just like on Startrek, no more paper books. It is still too costly but that will come down. I wonder if the ARRL library is on Kindle yet? Probably not but by the time I can afford one it will be!
Thanks Beets!

Hi David! :]]

It may not be a bad idea to wait for the next versions of it because it turns out that there are a few kinks and other things that could be improved. This review of the Kindle by the Salon people is about the best I've seen on the things that still need improvement.

It's been a while; how're you doing David? :]

Hi Beets, I tried to look at the review you posted the link to but the link is broken. The Kindle sounds very interesting. I would like to see how it develops.

Very interesting review. I think Iwill wait a while to buy one, there are better things to spend $400 on then a e-book reader that can't even do pictures right. Like a digital SLR Camera.
