Message 669025 - Posted: 29 Oct 2007, 19:56:44 UTC - in response to Message 668901.

Good morning to each and every one of you. Just wanted to say I was at the hospital yesterday with my mom, she is improving well, and is on the lowest setting on the ventalator that they can get it without turning it off. The doctors are thinking maybe another couple of weeks and she will be out and ready to go home. Could be sooner too. :-) Had a nice visit with my mom.

Anyhow, since my kids are out of school now for 4 weeks, my days will be full of stuff to do. LOL Plus, I have to watch my friends kid since he works, so now its just me, and 4 rugrats. LOL

@Tim, I'm very happy for ya buddy! You'll have to give me some tips when my daughter gets that age, I know I'll need um. LOL

@DB, congrats on your grand total

Hello to Ice, Mike, Richard, Champ, RB, Arizona, Al, Monday, ES, John, Dune, and whoever is lurkin. Man, what a lot of names to type. LOL

Anyhow, off to do some stuff. See you all later!

You are a real Champion! ;-D

I'm sorry to hear that, Dan. Let's have a good Wake for the nap. :]

Now then: where we left off in my Tudoring lessons was... the Wars of the Florists (1455–1487) in which it was decided by civil war that a Rose by any other name, is not the same Rose.

What else should I know about Houses and Flowers?

Don't ask me about Tudors. That all started after my time with Henry Tudor who won the battle of Bosworth and became Henry VII in 1485.

Pardon me for asking, but...

If it all started after your time, how can you be so sure?

You see? You were the right person to ask, after all!

I hadn't realized that Google was such an ancient Tome!

So...What House did you live in?

It's too bad about your not being in the War of the Roses. Robert Louis Stevenson's "The Black Arrow" was one of my favourite Classics Illustrated Books (Issue No. 31). What an adventure!

Are they still making those? The "Classics Illustrated" comic books? I wonder.

I still have my copy from childhood. :]]

Yes too bad. I was too busy fighting the French at Agincourt.

Isn't that the battle of the Roquefort Cheese? Phew! Those stinking French!

There's a suburb of Toronto, Agincourt, but I haven't noticed any fighting French there lately. It just goes to show you...a long bow goes a long way to end a quarrel! :]]

Good evening all. Good to see you all about. :-) I hope you are all well.

Went for a visit to the hospital again this morning to see my mom. She was awake, well aware I was there. I told her that I was taking care of everything. Her x-ray's are showing very good signs of things clearing up. Mom should only be on the ventalator for maybe another week at the most, if not sooner, if she starts breathing ok on her own.

Anyhow, off to make dinner, and relax. Raining cats and dogs here. See ya all later!
