The Allen Telescope Array is the first implementation of a large-N radio telescope. It is a promising candidate for at least a portion of the Square Kilometer Array (SKA).

The ATA is a scalable architecture. It begins operation in October 2007 with 42 elements. The workings of Moore's Law will drive ever-increasing functionality and performance in the digital hardware as we build out the array to 350 dishes.

Just read that the Allen array is being dedicated today and will go on line. Though you all might like to know. Wonder if we will be getting any of the data to cruch?

The Allen Array is not part of the Seti@Home project, thus is not sending its work for us to crunch.

I attended a presentation by the SETI Institute, a few months ago, they said the Allen Array will be doing all of its own crunching/signal analysis.

Just read that the Allen array is being dedicated today and will go on line. Though you all might like to know. Wonder if we will be getting any of the data to cruch?

The Allen Array is not part of the Seti@Home project, thus is not sending its work for us to crunch.
