I am attempting to set my preferences for Home so that "Suspend work while computer is in use?" is "yes" but it will not take. Other preference fields are updating fine but "Suspend work while computer is on battery power?" and "Suspend work while computer is in use?" will not change from "no" to "yes". Any ideas?

I'm also having this problem, too. Not too good on my PowerBook when on batteries >< . I've tried a variety of browsers including IE on a PC, but to good. I've also erased the prefs and redid them to no avail. Is it just a web bug??? Could use some help on this subject, please ^_~ .....

Well, I can confirm that these settings doesn't for the home/school/work venues. However, I was able to change these settings for the primary (default) preference. So here are some workarounds you might want to try:

- First, make sure that BOINC isn't set to run always (can be checked in Advanced View, menu Activity, item "run based on preferences" should be checked)
- If you are using BOINC version 5.10.x (5.8.x should also work), you can set up local per-computer-preferences. These can be set up in (Advanced View) -> menu "Advanced" -> "Preferences...". Keep in mind that by using them you must adjust all settings here (Disk usage / Network usage) according to your needs.
- If only one host is affected, set this hosts venue to "---" (that is "none"), so it should use the primary/default setting (which should work as mentioned above) instead
- If you are running other projects too, try to set up a venue on their web side so BOINC uses this instead of the Seti settings (for the general preferences always the most recent set will be taken)
