should a E4300 (1.8ghz) allendale outperform a Something to add, older E6300-E6400 with stepping B2 are Conroes with cutted 2MB cache, newer with L2 stepping are Allendales with somewhat worse OC, but Intel changed CPU-s with E6320-E6420 Conroes with fullhouse 4 MB cache.

should a E4300 (1.8ghz) allendale outperform a That's incorrect. The E6xxx series are all Conroes. The E6300 simply has 2MB disabled. Note that not all Core 2s with 2MB cache are Allendales. Only Core 2s that have been manufactured with only 2MB of cache are Allendales. Also, the E6400 uses a 1066MHz FSB, not 1033MHz. Allendales are all E4xxx series chips. Careful of what you read on the net. Not all of it's true. |

should a E4300 (1.8ghz) allendale outperform a E4300 (2MB cache) runs at 800Mhz Front Side BUS (FSB). An E6300 runs at 1033MHz FSB and is also an Allendale (2MB cache). Conroe's start at C2D modelseries E6600 (4MB cache) and upwards. Google is your friend and you can use your threadtitle as searchstring ;-) Kiva Greetings from Norway Crunch3er & AK-V8 Inside |

should a E4300 (1.8ghz) allendale outperform a No, the E6300 has a higher FSB, and should perform slightly better, all things being equal. "Learn from yesterday. Live for today. Hope for tomorrow." Albert Einstein "With cats." kittyman
