'No work from project' means exactly that. If it were a problem with your computer, you'd get a different error message.

hmm still doesnt want to work mate...

Ive reinstalled it into the location on the C:\\Boinc and ive installed it as a service and used an admin account when giving it the password so it can launch as a service.. but UAC still comes up and says oi wtf..and stops it loading...but more worrying is it was on all day and recieved 0 work!

The project has been short of work recently.

The basic problem is that if enough splitters are turned on to generate a queue of work, nobody can download the work. So the splitters are arranged so that the queue is just about empty, but work is being created all of the time. In other words, you got unlucky as there is a task available for downlaod about a tenth of a second after you asked, and you will probably get it on the next request.

Now, that said, installing on VISTA does require some extra work. The UAC on Vista prevents BOINC from running correctly if BOINC is installed in the default location. I would strongly suggest that you move the installation to c:\\BOINC from c:\\Program Files\\BOINC, if you have not already done this. You should also install BOINC as a service (again if you have not already done this).

I recently installed Vista home premium onto my quad core cpu... and ive installed Boinb.. latest version from website.. and Ive aded Seti@home... but it doesnt seem to get work.. my client wants to.. but the server wont let it...
