I have one client that now seems to be consistently with ONLY SETI WUs not being able to finish. The point at which it's having trouble allocating memory is the peak usage of about 64 MB. You have plenty installed, something has a large chunk of the memory tied up. Perhaps more description of how your diskless solution is implemented would suggest something. If you're sharing with Einstein and keeping suspended tasks in memory but don't have sufficient swap file space, perhaps that could be a factor. Joe |

I have one client that now seems to be consistently with ONLY SETI WUs not being able to finish. Unrecoverable error for result xxxxx ( - exit code -4 results Einstein@Home WUs don't seem to have any problem on that client. This is a diskless (no hard drive) client that has previously returned completed SETI WUs. I wonder if it is due to client having limited RAM (254.98 MB). I'll have to double check SETI requirments. Is this a problem/issue with my client or something on the SETI side ... that will be resolved with time. SETI@home since 1999 "Set it, and Forget it!" |
