Have you looked at the results? Other users are reporting errors on them as well. At least on the rig I looked at.

M...look at his other rig, the 3.4 P4. I would suggest a shot of air to get rid of the bunnies inside and check to see if the RAM is seated properly. I had a similar problem with one of mine, but it was a HD that was almost full (less than 500MB free).

On topic, my RAC is thru the roof!!! (2 quads, moving PCs to work for less load at home, running laptop, etc) Hope to get to 1 million in the next month or so and move up in my signup date to #3 (11/9/1999).

I switched the P4 3.4GHz back to Chicken's Seti application a few days ago. Since then, I haven't had anymore computer errors.

Back up and running now, my RAC has been steadily increasing. Although less two Quaddies at this time, I'm still doing reasonably well.

From 32K down to 16K since Sept 20 ! ! ! ! I have started a rewiring of my own. Dumping Comcast and going Verizon FIOS (Sorry to all those who are Paired w/me). I'll be back 100% online around Oct 10. Luckly I had about 12 Days processing in my buffers so all the time is not wasted....:-P

I have a lot to learn yet and in a few more years I will learn a lot more from you all so just don't go away, stay a while and enjoy the beat and I'll learn a lot more from you all. Me I achieved just over 4 Million WU's crunched, In 7 Days I'll have only a pair of Quad core PCs crunching, The others will be either put away or parts of older PCs will be sold. Besides I can't go too much higher on My team as It is with only 2 Quads as I'd need 3 more plus more income and I can wait a few years to do that as I have other things to do, a 180 gallon glass Aquarium(Jan08), New Doublestacked 27" Gas Washer/Dryer(Aug 08?), DMV(Oct08), Silver window film(Nov08), Larger 4500cfm Swamp Cooler(Sep09?), New 2.5 Ton Heatpump(Feb010?) and all that requires some cut backs on My part for a few Years(2011?). Unless I were to get a loan possibly and then the stuff for the house could get done before the end of 2008 possibly. :D

Well, my RAC is going to start falling. I achived my goal of being first in my start up date for Seti, now I am allocating my cruncers to other projects. I just need to be number one in all of them. Also want to help my team do the same, being number 1 in all of the projects. So I'll still be around but to a lesser extent.

OK, I've decided to run past 400K. I am declaring this point the apex of my RAC using the best possible apps for my processors is that RAC is 4500. I've either switched or will be switching to stock 5.27 app today to run enough samples to both fill out my "claimed credit/hour charts", and to see what my RAC would have been using stock. Here's todays update on my chart:

That previous chart was junk. I moved the Y axis to the right, and cut it down to only the last 30 days. Let's see if this is any better.

The server issues started 10/3
My machines have the fastest app available per my tests and are/have been running full bore (except for about a 6 hour layoff on my Mobile AMD64 3700, second from slowest machine last Tuesday) since Oct 2nd. (which, unfortunately was one day before the server issues. Good timing again on my part)

CONGRATS, on going to Fiber! My Parents and I just did the same; however, we dumped Comcast for AT&T UVerse. 60Mb is coming into the house; however, most of that is reserved for the TV signal(s) bandwidth, they dedicate 6Mb Download and 920 to 950K for Upload on the Broadband. It is most excellent.

When we switched, it took the installers 5.5 Hours to complete the install. My computers kept on crunching their queued tasks and didn't miss a beat when UVerse picked up and became the functioning ISP. Comcast is definitely taking a beating as most of the homes in our immediate area are switching/have switched to UVerse. (I haven't seen Verizon in the area; AT&T may be shutting them out here...) Again, congrats.

Oh, and RAC is slooooowwwwly climbing. (Presently at 336.7) However; it keeps bouncing around, so as I post this - most likely it will drop again for a few days, then climb again... LOL

I looked at the results and noticed that your PC did 0 seconds of work on the WUs, so it didn't cost you anything. There were some bad WUs that went out. I had a bunch also. On topic with the thread, my RAC is increasing...I guess 2 quaddys will do that (Thanks Crunch3r!!!)

Before MB and before running an optimized app, my RAC was in the 75-80 range. Before MB and using Chicken 2.2B my RAC shot up to the neighborhood of 110-120. Now, running Chicken's 5.27, it's about 2/3rds of that, back in the 75-80 range.

Everything old is new again.

It was my goal to reach a sustained max RAC using the best apps found via my tests, then to go back to stock and see what the max sustained RAC using stock was. All before reaching my artificial 400K TC deadline. Unfortunately, the server issues of the last 5 days look to be making that impossible. I'm not even sure when they're going to fix the back end, so I don't know I'll be able to show either by the time I hit my goal/stopping point of 400K. I need to have all hosts cleared of work by the time I hit 385K(35K from where I'm at) and then let pendings catch up, so at 4+K/day granted I estimate only 8 days remain.

As I mentioned earlier something isn't working as expected, the Pendings are rising at an unusual rate, Also, the unpurged work left on the database is making data collection a real chore. I have to manually delete one at a time each wu which isn't new all the way back to Oct 2nd.:



This malfunction has skewed my "Rac Increase" chart so that I'm not sure even 8 days at the "best apps" will even level out. (see below chart). I am now running the "best apps", and have been on all but my 2800 for some time. Oh well, I tried. Atleast I will be able to show which app is best for anyone using similar AMD processor.
