Nothing against you personally Ozzfan

I see no reason to take offense.

I complained to my boss about my oppo's being drunk & smoking dope in the cab, but nothing was done about it.

What's an oppo?

It's an Army term similar to yours - Buddy.

Anyway, I think we have let the thread that was meant to be funny get too serious.

Lets get back to the fun.

How about the new proposed avatar?

I still like it as it matches my humour - any objections?

If there is please provide a funny explanation!!!

In my opinion, the one without the finger and without the canabis leaves is quite OK. Even the one with the canabis leaves might well be taken as an ANTI drug message - after all it is death doing the smoking and the smoke is forming a skull...

There is no need to be worried about Sirius.

I´m sure it violates no rules.

There are allways people you couldn´t make it right.

I agree with JM7 and Mike here, both versions would be ok in my opinion.

Really, thanks very much guys, I appreciate it.

However to play fair with everybody, I'll use the last one posted.

I orginally liked it as well for the colour green because of being Irish & also because it looked like the Canadian Maple Leaf. At no time did I consider or even think of the relation to drugs.

Even though I am a smoker, it does advertise anti-smoking which must be a good thing.

Regards

I'll make you one with maple leaves on, give me a little time. :-)

I'll make one both with red and with green leaves, then you can choose.

Ok, here are two with maple leaves.

They are 127 x 127 pixels, so you might shrink them to 100 x 100 pixels

Fantastic, many thanks Fuzzy. Sorry about the delay in repling, My wife forgot to take her medication earlier this evening and had a bad fit earlier, so I've had to keep an eye on her.

She's ok now & has seen the pic's & she also said thank you (she's crazy like me)

Regards

PJ.

Don't remind us, it'll soon be on top of us!

Thanks Chris, you've given me another idea. Keep this one for winter & use Fuzzy's one for spring & summer.

It's a shame that we have to be kid friendly...before my lorry driving days I used to be on the trains in London...the things we had happen to us...Unbelievable!

You're welcome. Just download them if you want them.

And I can assure you there are no traces of any illegal drugs anywhere, it's all maple leaves. ;-D

I'm sorry about your wife, I hope she's better now. Say hi to her from me.

My regards to your wife

Yes, Rushmas is soon over us again, alas, there won't be any Rushmas competitions or threads this year, at least not by me. If others want to take up the tradition, be my guest.

The kid-friendly thing is admin's decisions, we only obey the orders given from them. Just with so many other things...

Sorry Fuzzy, I did not intend any sarcasm etc, I was just implying that I have to be careful with my threads.

I'm afraid the leaves are most definitely not maple leaves. If this is allowed, it may appear as if SETI is encouraging or approving of cannabis.

For me it looks much like chestnut leaves

If I may, I think it is the horse chestnut tree or conker tree. It's scientific name is Aesculus hippocastanum.

Maybe. I'm sure a lot of discussions about botany can develop, and I can only agree with Sirius B, that the best was to ask first.

And having had the original pic blown up to 600% I can assure you it was not chestnut leaves!

But now they are these:

While I did not see the "original" the image below is a horse chestnut.

Sorry to change topic but I've been meaning to ask this for some time.

Mrs Miggins, it will have been 40 years next month since I was taught Latin, could you please tell me what that quote is in English please?

Also, do you have any ice cold beers to hand?

Where I come from ice and beer to not go well together. We are more used to partaking in the odd flagon of ale.
