maybe some day the Mac people will stop over claiming and convert to their new app tooooo...

Maybe some day the project will release a Mac app that makes correct claims.

Fair enough! Nobody can blame the Mac users who do not wish to optimize when the stock app has not been corrected yet. Hopefully that task will be done soon.
At least for the optimizers, it looks like Alex's updated app is now working properly. Thank you to those that have taken the time to update!

for mac users info here is the link to alex kans latest optimised app

it appears to work well and he has fixed the problems with weakly similar results

you need the 7.2mb1 version on that page there is a version for core duo or core 2 duo

Yep, Alex has been on the case and it looks like the Mac's are squared away for the time being. :-)

BTW, now that the ducks are all in a row in that regard, are you going to be making another run for the top spot now? I know your Mac has a 'day job' but I was just curious. ;-)

i dont reckon its left to its own devices to attempt for the top slot as i'm doing a lot of editing and music stuff at the mo... i cant see how anyone can afford to leave an 8-core just crunching :-)

but i'm gonna see how high anyway

i think now that the transition to MB has been achieved and as far as macs are concerned the optimised apps options are quite simple , stock or 7.2mb1.

so a polite info PM is ok i reckon but thats only for the mac users, you can do the pcs if you want msattler :-)

certainly wait for the optimised client scene to settle down first though

i cant wait for alex kans v8mb heh heh raw power !

Methinks I'll let them ponder on it for themselves for a bit.
As far as the V8 is concerned, BRING IT ON!!!
I wanna see it! I just wish I was the one who could bring it here first, but my wallet looks a bit threadbare at the moment. As who? would say....VROOOOMMMMM!!

Did you notice the two anonymous 32 core juggernauts in the top 10? ... They seem to be running stock :O... ( 7xxx series Xeons?)

While browsing my recent results I also ran into a anonymous host running BOINC 5.5.0 and a R-1.2 Chicken app (application version 5.15).

Needless to say this one was claiming more than it should at this moment.
I think some just install and after that don't think it's handy to look if there are updates availible...

I think this one must be cooked for a couple off hours before it is safe to eat it...

Hmmm..!
What are your Kitties chewing on at the moment?

Your fastest Quaddie has left Top20 and the other is leaving Top50.
Doesn't look as fresh meat to me ;-)

Yeah, it's sad. Phased quaddy has been a biatch lately, and won't even run at the settings that it used to. Got to be a bios twitch somewhere. Did a lot of pre release testing over at Lunatics, and then it went south. Meanwhile, I was still thinking......
I upgraded to the most recent Chicken release, and I must admit that I am not sure it is quite as fast as the first 2.4 from Simon. But I will stick with it, because I have tried and tested more apps than some, and can't find a clear winner. It's the AR thingy.
Anyway, thanks for noticing. I'll keep at it. You know I will. And the kitties won't let me slack off for too long/
