This is a direct quote from an e-mail I just received. It's still pretty sketchy.

Just to let you guys know..

Dennis (Dogbytes) has been admitted to hospital for a suspected heart attack.

This all the info I have so far...

He was taken to the emergency room at Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas with what appears to be a heart attack.

He is currently being sedated and they are administering nitroglycerin via a chest patch. He is lucid, and his pain has abated thanks to intravenous morphine and the nitro.

I'll post updates when I get them.

He was complaining of cheast discomfort on Skype yesterday and today. Keith will vouch for today, but he seem determined to keep away from the medical side!

I hope he has been caught and controlled properly and in time!

Yep..he was feeling a little crook when he was on the phone, I hope the old blighter is going to be OK.

Well, he is one tough bird. Not to get all mushy, but we love you. Take it easy Dennis! We've got a special nurse for you, one that will care for all your needs.

Latest news from Jack Lass at TFFE boards.

(Quote)
I just got off the phone with Dennis (11:38PM EDST). He is pain free (thanks to the morphine). He was given some beta-blocker or other and his blood pressure has been brought down to a good level. He'll be kept overnight (at least) for observation and continued testing.

That means that someone will be coming into his room every couple of hours after he has finally fallen asleep and wake him up to take blood. A hospital is no place to get rest. I'll be talking with him tomorrow and will let you know what's happening.
(UnQuote)

It sounds like he'll be home soon. I have word that Keith is sending Nurse Goodbody to oversee his recovery.

Yikes!!! That was a scare!

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better, Dennis! You know, the good news is: people who get small heart attacks usually make it through the lot of them and live to a ripe old age. People who get massive heart attacks, well that's touch and go.

Hurry back! :)))

Well, this may not help with the whole blood pressure issue, but...

OMG! It must have been the push that doggie got over at the MalariaControl.Net Last Person to Post Here Wins thread. I hear it was a big push!

I trust you are feeling better old buddy!

(ps. Somehow I don't think the nurses below will make our olde boy feel better, but I'm sure a good spanking will!)

Live long and BOINC!

I can understand how this group of Nightingales will cheer Dogbytes up. :)

What do you call a group of nurses, anyway? It's a murder of crows, a flock of sheep, a gaggle of geese...

I'd call this a giggle of nurses. :)

Just spoke with Dennis' Nurse (Tracy) she'll be goin' off her shift in 1/2 hr

> it's 7:15 AM Pacific (@ present) and the Nurse said that Dennis is STABLE - and that the time for anybody to call - is @ 8 - 10 AM -

Breakfast will be served and the Number to Sunrise is 702 . 731 . 8000 (Main Number)

ask for option # 2 (Emergency) Nursing Station - and IF Dennis is awake - the Nurse tending will transfer the call to Dennis . . .

again - he's STABLE - so things are a little brighter eh . . .

Respectfully

richard
