the filter is known as a UV Filter . . . it cuts out the Ultraviolet spectrum and allows for one to see more detail in a photograph . . .

also - one CAN enhance the photo 'further' with PhotoShop etc - but it is NOT the same IF a UV Filter HAS NOT BEEN USED 'ORIGINALLY' . . . and the Filter is actually one that every Photographer SHOULD USE - based on the Main Point being - IT WILL Protect the Lens . . .

Thank you Richard. :^D

OK, to ask one question more, can these filters be used on digital SLRs as well as film SLR?

BOTH SIR!!! - especially thE DIGITAL . . .

Near Sturgis, S.D. August 2005

The last pic I have of my hubby on his Harley before his accident.

Fine looking dude, on a fine looking bike. Shouldn't have been the way it was...

Like he says... "Sometimes S*** just happens!"

Here's a pic of a famous landmark not far from Sturgis.

Hello, fellow crunchers... Just stumbled on to this fine thread...

Here's a picture from my recent trip to Central America...

Late afternoon, on the waterfront - Flores, Guatemala. Camera was a Panasonic DMC LC-43, no photoshop involved, just cropped out my friend's elbow...

Thanks, my friend!

I've really enjoyed seeing all my fellow crunchers' pics here, and I'm honored to be able to contribute!

Well I lied, I meant the Ukrainian border, but either way they wouldn't let me in.

I would like to thank all who posted your wonderful pictures.

They were all, without exception, stunning.

Special appreciation to Tiara Arroway Rivera, Jaaku, CyberWraith, and Captain Avatar. With hard work and practice, practice, practice, I hope, someday, do be 1/10th as good as the four of you are.

:))
