General commentary (again):

The cricket graph looks a lot like what it did when bruno was being swamped, just at 2x the level (due to Ptolemy being in the mix now).

Suggestion: Ease off trying to upload/download and see if it gets better. It might not, but at this point, it can't hurt to try...

If not, wait for UCB staff to get in and kick something or post some sort of announcement.

Thats what I said in a similar thread...just take a small break...shut BOINC down for a while...the threads are read and updated regualarly...the faithful ones will not miss a thing on them :)

Don't quite understand what is going on here... Cannot upoad any results. Deleted the XMl File and new work came pooring in. Doesn't do any good if it can't upload and validate. Any suggestions?

Cannot upload, but server status is all green...Deleted what file?

I think that is server status was all green, the last update shows:

So was mine...hence.. I don't know what is going on. From what I am reading in the message boards I am not the only one with problems.

Seems like SETI@home is pretty much dead.
I can't upload or download anymore.

I've been a supporter and contributor to SETI, but if it doesn't work anymore, I've gotta put my energy elsewhere.

I'm going to shut down my computers now, but if SETI gets back on its feet, I'll be happy to once again contribute computer resources and money.

Until then, I'm outta here . . . . . .

I agree. I have suspended all Seti activity. Even though I have stood by this project for 3+ years... I Know... Not that long for some.... I will come back when they get their issues worked out. For now, I will turn to something else to support. Good luck Berkley. I really hope ya'll figure this problem out.

Oh, I am confident they will sort these problems out.
I really think we could be on the cusp of a new period of Seti stability (the kitties are optimists).
They have just upgraded their network connections, have a powerful new Sun server, other hardware donations are being offered, and they have retired some of the old hardware that has been causing problems for some time. I think if we can hang in there and give them a bit more time to put the final tweaks and troubleshooting in place, we could be in real good shape.

Yesterday I had 96 WU's trying to upload.

Followed the advice to shut down BOINC and restart it to clear the upload issue.

Worked yesterday on one machine, but it wasn't and isn't able to get anything new.

Shutdown/restart didn't work just now on the other machine.

That a new error message for me.

running this :
Starting BOINC client version 5.4.9 for windows_intelx86

patience will win out in the end

ahhh now I'm back to familiar territory
