You think this thread will be noticed from the Berkeley- people?

------------------------------------------------------------------
Eric Korpela posted here in the old thread:
Credit was granted for all of the validate errors (and any other problem with pending credit). In some cases it might not have gotten credited to the proper host (if the host id had changed). But the users have gotten credit. If you didn't see a jump in your credit, it might be that you had already been granted credit. Most of the items listed as pending had already been granted proper credit.

<edit>
Sorry, I was talking about validate errors in beta. Validate errors in the main project, it depends upon the circumstances and whether we were able to catch them quickly enough.
</edit>
------------------------------------------------------------------

And since I posted there my invalid results, nothing happened!

O.K., I will start to post again, BUT only a short time and will see something will happen, if not, I will not post anymore, because I have better things to do.
Because if I post and nothing happen, then it's for nothing, or? I could do better things with my short free time!

BTW. I would like to support the project, if it help if we post here, to find the problems! BUT if we don't get a 'feedback'.

BTW. Maybe it would help, if the results are longer available on the homepage?

Not an error, just an annoying quirk of the change to 2 results required for validation- if one of the results is from an older manager version (eg 4.X) the granted credit is the lower 4.X claimed credit, not the revised (higher) V5.X claimed credit.
And because only 2 results are required it's much more likely one of them will be from a 4.X system than when 3 were required it would have needed 2 older versions to claim credit for the low value to be granted.

You mean like THIS?

I get a "Can't find Work Unit" response.

Try this one.
I claimed 61.21 (using 5.8.16) & the other computer claimed 39.96 (using 4.45) and it's the lower value that's granted.

As long as 2 recent managers make the claim, then you'll get what's claimed. If one of them is an older version, you'll only get it's low claimed amount.

Maybe you could PM the owner of the 4.45 computer and explain why he/she might consider updating Boinc. Perhaps they are not aware of the problems they are creating. That machine is running Windows so should not be a problem.

BTW.
Like I said, if you post here, nothing happen.
O.K., at the moment the current server problems.
BUT, if the Berkeley- crew have no time for this thread, maybe they can give the permission to some people, to examine the posted results and give the Credits?!
