Well, it's a little soon to say for sure, but from the latest news on the main page, it appears that we may be nearing the end of the catastrophic server problems. The snap server is still running stable. The found and fixed an infinite loop problem, which I think could potentially cause other system problems other than the validator simply not working as it should.

While from what I understand, the SnapApp is is running with minimal "services" which I assume will later be turned on to find the problem, at least it is working properly as is, making it much easier to find out what kept causing it to hang.

I know it's a bit early to tell on all this, but I get the feeling things are looking up at least a little. Hopefully that feeling is right.

I have the same good feeling too. It's better to keep services to minimum and make sure that the essentials one are running. The SNAP APP visit to Berkeley did improved the reliability of the server. For both software services and hardware improvements. Lets not forget that the SNAP box runs on a more powerfull CPU now. This alone could have made the difference. I also cross fingers and wait to see if the validator will work as well.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think we are back to running all services except:

Validator (Actually, is running on alpha)
Pending Credits (feature is turned off temporarily)
Results (Temporarily disabled)

The Seti@Home Boinc Staff definately deserve praise for their progess.
Once that Loopty Looping Validator Code is tested, I think we will all be recovering from the shock of everything being up and running.

Cheers to the Staff and Congrats on doing a great job.

I think I smell a validator fired back up and running! ;)
