OK, found the answer on the Ubuntu forums... 'gksudo nautilus' opened a file browser as root and let me add the Chicken optimized files to the setiathome project folder... all is well |

I used Synaptic Package Manager- it didn't ask where I wanted to install, it just did it... I have read the KWSN instructions and I have done this in XP many times, my question is Ubuntu and Linux related as this is a new OS for me ... I found the 'setiathome.berkeley.edu' folder- when I try to drag the files and drop on the seti project folder ( a la Windows Explorer), the file floats back and will not install. When I right click on the SAH folder is says Boinc core client is the owner and I do not have rights to change permissions- all the folder access boxes are greyed out... Anyone using Ubuntu 7.04 help? Thanks |

they go into wherever you installed it eg: /users/JAMC/BOINC/Projects/Setiathome----etc/ plus read the instructions.txt file in the KWSN zip file which also tell you |

Hello- I'm new to Linux (Ubuntu 7.04- 32 bit) but have managed to install BOINC and have Seti@home running... where do I find the folder to drop the KWSN Linux SSE2 files? Is it a Windows-like click/drag/drop process? Thanks |
