Everyone switched about a week ago. You can get it here. http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/download.php Other than that I can't think of why it is not working. Maybe if you can be more specific. |

I am having a similar problem. BOINC has been working fine, but now it just says it is downloading the work and it just sits there; no messages after "General Prefs: Using Your Defaults". Usually I receive an error message if it is unable to connect to the server, or unable to download work, but it just isn't doing anything (at least, not visibly). I have tried updating the project, restarting Boinc, rebooting the computer, all to no avail. I'm running 4.05. |

As i read you are using SP2 on XP. Have you enabled web access to boinc_gui in the new SP2 firewall? Maybe it's the firewall isolating BOINC from the web. greetz, Uli |

Have you set your boinc preferences to work while the computer is in use? You can try to select "Run always" from the file menu in the gui. greetz, Uli |

Looks like you got everything except SETI application. Detach, uninstal boinc, restart, reinstall boinc, attach SETI, connect and merge computer when done. |

You have to download seti*.exe and seti*.pdb files! Both! If not, then it doesn't work. I happed once to me that I did not downloaded .pdb and it was not working. S@h Berkeley's Staff Friends Club © member |
