Even though I am a smoker (mild one) I agree with all the anti-smoking legislation that is being introduced. Smoking harms your health, your wallet, and others around you. If it is now more difficult for me to smoke then "they" are in fact doing me a favour in the long run. I dont see it as big brother or infringing civil liberties at all.

Then you don't understand the the terms "big brother" or "civil liberties" at all.

I envy people like you Fuzzy. My father (when he was smoking) was the same way. And when he decided to quit it was "Cold Turkey" with no problems! It has such a hold on me. Pack a day since 14 years old.

Same with my dad. He smoked Cool "regulars" (the ones without a filter) for 50 years the just quit one day. I smoked for 4 years and quit cold turkey, but life was continual "rat beastard day" for about half a year!

But I use spearmint chewing gum before each appointment anyway, just for the case.

Well, I considered already, and i think, when (not if) my situations are again the way there were back in 93 I will quit again. But before that... Well, still it is a vice (okay, an addiction, too) - but more or less my only one.

I live in a neighborhood that has more than a few crack addicts. There are worse things than cigarettes to be addicted to. And there are those who say I’m a little too fond of the grape…

Well, no, but I think it doesn't matter: you can get sick whether you're smoking or not. I considered quitting already, and I think, when (not if) my situations are again the way they were back in 93 I will be able to quit smoking again. But before that... Well, still it is a tempting vice (okay, it's an addiction, too) - but more or less my only one.
