Hey there Splatty and KM!

Yeah, I'm getting kinda frustrated. It was up for a moment or two, did ya catch it? lol The FreeForumFolks (Heheh catchy!) are doing their best but even I lost my temper a bit over at the support forum. Maybe your suggestions would be for the best but right now it's set up and hosted with
upgrades galore. Starting fresh can be a little daunting. Maybe when the back up system is active I can work out something that would be painless.

Hopefully the server upgrades they are doing will be the end of the outages.

Fingers crossed,
Pawly

WARNING - WORDY (us rats never know when to shut up; )

What a great pic - Vancouver!!! Future site of the 2010 Olympics. 3rd best city in the world in terms of quality of life to live in after Zurich & Geneva, Switzerland:

Gee, what can I say? A port city = zillions of ratties LOL LOL ;) Plus, mountains, Ocean, Beaches, Stanley Park, incredible skyline ... if ever I had to change cities, Vancouver would be my #1 pick.

It was up for a moment or two, did ya catch it? lol The FreeForumFolks (Heheh catchy!)

Hahaha! Nope, didn't catch it darn - wish I had that would've been exciting! Hey, that F3 thing (FreeForumFolks) is catchy LOL !

Yup, it's certainly understandable your wanting to be patient and see how things work out a bit longer considering all the work you've put into your great site.

For an example of a Forum template that is free, customizable (change colours, logos, add avatars, functionalities) and designed for easy, uncomplicated install into a mySql database, peek at this one. I have used this and recently installed it for a friend at his site. I thus know for sure it works perfectly at GoDaddy where it is set up inside one of their mySql databases. It's by www.threads, and here is a sample page of what it looks like:

www.threads sample forum

Calm Chaos has a GREAT forum, better in my opinion that www.threads. Their functionality seems the equal to that offered by "F3" lol. Will admit tho' that F3 does have nice forums .... when they're actually up and running hahahaha!

Just something to think about Pawly, for if the time comes. If you ever decided to go the www.threads route, then it would be my pleasure to assist u with mySql set up and install of the forum as I understand that one. Typically, however, I believe install of other php-based forums can be ... complex and a bit daunting - just my impression which may not be accurate - bye, Splat :D !!

Hi Pawly & KM :D !!

Well, if Buga installed that excellent forum at Calm & Chaos, then Buga must be well qualified LOL ! Something tells me their forum is probably complex to install and beyond my ratty brains LOL ! Still I'd always be willing to give it a try :)

PS That team name thing in the other thread has me totally confused !!! What the heck is their team name exactly? It took me a long time to figure out it was probably "The Team", but now according to John it's "We" ???? Hahahaa - is this a puzzle or something? Us rats luv them puzzles - bye :D !!

If you see a team name ( or lack of one ) that confuses you, the best way to find the name of the team is to click on the users name. You'll see it on the page that it takes you to. :-)

That's how I figured it out....lol

@ KM

Hahaha ! Good one ! :D !!

@ Pawly:

That's cool Pawly - thanks for posting those links, very informative :) !!

That is awesome how Vancouver is 3rd in the world. Am surprised (and no offence to Torontonians - Rats LUV Toronto) that Ottawa placed behind Toronto seeing how my home town is smaller so less traffic, pollution, etc. .... AND WE ARE HOME TO THE OTTAWA SENATORS - CANADA'S ONLY HOPE TO WIN THE STANLEY CUP !!! So there!

GO SENATORS GO - we pulvierized them Pittsburgh Penguins, we demolished them Jersey Devils ... and were gonna splatter the Buffalo Sabres - HA HA ! Bye :D !!

Ha - Timmy, fancy meeting u here LOL! Mischief? Inadvertently, yes! Actually, I tried posting in Oh Canada but things slowed severely when I tried to preview my post. I waited a few minutes for the hour glass to go away but then gave up. I tried submitting, but same thing. Oh well, guess I'm just cursed LOL. Sorry Pawly, but at least having posted here helps "bump" things up I guess ;)
