Every time I click on Apr. 9, 2002 (or almost any date for that matter), I get a blank page. Am I missing something? I guess that would explain it. LOL |

Sorry folks, I forgot to mention that but it was posted to help those of you who where unsure of your start/joining date. I am certain that it has served it's purpose well in that respect. Regards, Graeme. www.boincuk.com

Sorry folks, I forgot to mention that but it was posted to help those of you who where unsure of your start/joining date. Strange! They could always go look at their accounts. You could even do that under Seti Classic. |

Well it has been a long time. I join this club June 9. Looked at the old stats. Average cpu time per work unit was 20+ hours. Today it's about 30 mins. 6,500 people joined that day. I wonder how many were members of the Planetary Society. That is how I learned about the project, in the Planetary Society news letter. Not sure what I was running back then, probably a Cyrix 6x86. I still have that computer. Covered it with plaster then chiseled away to make it look like it was carved out of stone. Then painted it with faux stone paint. Makes a great end table. Most of my time the project has run on just one computer. But about 2 years ago I added 2 P4 that ran only Seti under Linux. Now, I am running 11 computers. Three Macs. (My wife is a mac person.) The rest are PC’s. Six of the PC’s do nothing but crunch. I am now #3 in the class of June 9 and have a little ways to go to be #1. In the class of June 9 of course. I don’t think I will overtake Nez. Still I am #55 overall, so that’s not too bad. Happy Seti birthday to all.

How to spot a 3rd April 1999 FAKE: Look at their profile and look out for 2 lines. SETI@home classic workunits SETI@home classic CPU time A fake won't have these 2 lines. A REAL 3rd April 1999 user will have XXX number of WUs & some CPU time.

I've got a couple of weeks until 8 years here - I've not been active continously, but it's still a good milestone :) Evolved from a Pentium 233mmx with 128mb ram to the two boxes I have currently :) Edit: here I am : http://seticlassic.ssl.berkeley.edu/classpages/days/2451325.html 669) Stoo Wed May 26 23:32:46 1999 Thu Dec 1 21:17:31 2005 1924 1.873 years 8 hr 31 min 33.3 sec United Kingdom :) |

Today is my 8th anniversary! Congrats to all the other May 15th 1999 crunchers, I think it's one of the most popular sign up dates. I remember hearing about SETI on a Discovery Channel broadcast and couldn't wait to start looking for ET myself. |

Congratulations to our team member Karsten Vinding. He has continuously run SETI since May 18, 1999 – except during SETI and his own hardware/electricity outages, of course. Kind regards Kirsten

Started crunching 2 Jun 1999 with Classic, a couple years without internet connection for my beloved PII-233 that was updated to an PIII-800 and summer 2006 brought more power as Athlon64-3500... When I have the money, I will invest to an quad-core Opteron or two...time will tell... I am honored to soon-to-be a part of the 8 years club : ) |

Just joined the 8 year club. 1999-05-17 May, 17, 1999. There are 3031 crunchers that just had a birthday - http://www.boincstats.com/stats/user_stats.php?pr=sah&date=926899200&st=0#2 Not sure if this is the largest joining date, but I am sure it is up there in the top for crunchers that joined on this date - 8 years ago. Crunch ON! |

I'm pretty sure I'm coming up on the 8 year mark, and before Seti, I was crunching for distributed.net, and Prime95. I think I started dnet around rc5-56. Edit: Just saw my 14-May-99 date. yep, 8 years :D
