Well, my BOINC client actually contacted the server this tim, and instead of getting the scheduler failed comment, I'm getting the no work available message now.
Is it true? Is SETI alive?

Now that's an idea. Starting a BOINC project that will look for sign of life of SETIBOINC. :)
