I'm new to SETI@home. Do I have the ability to listen to incoming data, (like in the movies? I am also recieving data dated Jan. 29, and was wondering if I am able to get fresh or more up to date, or even LIVE incoming data. Thanks for your help! Mark

You might want to post this on the "Number Crunching" board. Before you do that, you might want to first read some of the threads because you'll probably find answers to your same questions.

No. Your ears cannot hear the frequency of neutral hydrogen. And if the signal was converted down to audio (20hz - 20khz) all you'd hear is static.

Because it was for the Classic SETI@home and by the looks of the link, it does not support the new BOINC.
