The only way to change the quota is to return good result which you aren't doing. That computer is returning nothing but garbage (Client errors) at the moment so you have some kind of problem with that system.

First, I would suggest making sure that the system is clear out of dust bunnies from the fans and cooling fins as you may have heat related problems. Next, you may be having hardware problems so look for programs called Prime95 and Memtest to stress test the system and try to isolate what is breaking down on the system.[/quote]

nope the problem was with the opti seti client. changed back to the standart and workign fine now...

heat problems? my cpu has a max core temp of 21.c recorded. 3 radiators in a good old trustly bar fridge :) all i need to do know is air seal my case and circulate the air from the fridge inside it.

Hi Corey,

The problem is that this computer returned several WUs in error, which detracts from your daily quota. ATM, it's allowed to DL only 1 WU a day. The deferral you're getting is the amount of time the servers are asking your machine to wait until the day "turns" and you can download a new WU.

You're probably getting a message like "Message from server: (reached daily quota of 1 results)".

I'm not a Vista user, but you seem to having the same problem other Vista users are getting and wrote about. You could try a forum search with "Vista" as a keyword. HTH,

Regards,
Wander

im getting the same problem but not running vista, is there a way to change the quota limit, 1 pc i run has 33/day and the other 100/day but i cant find how to change it?

Hey, I just installed Windows Vista and for some reason boinc stopped downloading work units.
When i clicked the Update button, it said "communication deferred 11:39:19"

I can't imagine that an 11 hour deferral is normal... any suggestions?
