It's time for Pawly to go back to dial-up. The good old days of 14.4k Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

Just sent off a "polite" email to my ISP about P2P throttling. I'll let ya know Chris, in the mean time here's my dilemma...I pay for 5mb of download bandwidth(Rogers cable) and my P2P programs (uTorrent and Lime Wire) can only achieve 30kb/s on average, because of throttling. In essence, paying for a service I don't get to use to the fullest. My GF is on Bell highspeed (connected to a phone line, does that make it dial up? Guess so) and downloads in hours what takes me days. I would switch but I am told by Bell that this service is not avaiable in my area...even though my brother is using this 4 KM away! Downloading via P2P is completely legal in Canada. American Companies have no right to claim copyright infringement OR try to exert pressure on Canadian ISP's to limit/slow down PAYING customers! The situation is infuriating!! DONATE TO SETI |

Looks like the thread is getting serious. Just look at Pawly's poor little smileys! In Canada a couple means at least 8. |
