But that doesn't mean your credits vanish, only that the results table must be cleared once assimilated into the database. I'm not sure if you were referring to some Client Errors you got in your WUs. Two of them were aborted by the user, and one got an exit error -3. The tasks do not stay on your account forever. Once they are verified one of the quorum is put into the master database and cleared from the online database. This way the online database stays cleaner. It still gets too big and slows down sometimes, but this keeps it from not working at all.
