Whats so special on Valentines day? It is only a day to make money for the flower industry. We can show our sweetheards every day our love. ;-0 |

Happy St. Valentine's Day to all!! Beets, don't be so cynical. Celebrate early and save like I do!! ;-) You don't have to spend a lot of money or any at all really, it's what's in your heart that counts. |

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!! You’ve really got to hand it corporate America sometimes. Here they have taken a very strange annual celebration, Valentines Day, and turned it into a cash cow of Hallmarkian proportions. Saint Valentine of Terni and all his disciples were massacred by the Romans 1400 years ago, and down through the ages his feast day, February 14th, has turned into what it is today. A spending orgy! LOL And here's a special "Fun with Words" for Valentines Day. Enjoy! |

Today I went to visit my friend who's two little kittens Raffe and Rosa were ready for visits. So, here are the pics: She took this pic herself the day after they arrived, just after she woke up after a nap, where the kittens were standing there looking at her, as in "What is she doing???" And I managed to get two good pics of her other cats, so here's Lucky with his fully developed coat: And Gimme, who has got some of a lunchpack on her stomach. She will soon lose some weight when the kittens give her some exercise. Her coat is not fully developed yet: Click the pics. And I have booked myself to the first of the courses, which will take place on March the 5'th. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me

Haven't been aware that qualifying contests for the European song contest are already running; too disappointing what to see and to hear all the years, with slight exceptions for the last two years: Helena Paparizou, that wonderful Swedish-Greek combination of female supremacy, and what Germany belongs, Texas Lightning, in my opinion one of the finest country- and western bands although I'm not a dedicated C&W fan. And of course 1974 ABBA with "Waterloo", but that was a bit before my time, only faint memories of the Eurovision Song Contest party my parents gave (my mom is of Swedish provenance). But mostly Eurovision song contest winners are mediocre one-hit-wonders that quickly fade into obscurity. I am not interessetd anymore in the eurovision song contest. Its to unfair for us germans. Stefan Raabs Bundesvision song contest is in contra to the eurovision song contest. |

But mostly Eurovision song contest winners are mediocre one-hit-wonders that quickly fade into obscurity. Not to forget no 2 from 1968 Cliff Richards - Congratulations, still one of the most played songs. Of course I know the Danish winners the best, there have been some seconds, so only two winners for us. 1963 - Grethe and Jørgen Ingmann - Dansevise (in a better version) It's still worth listening to, I think. 2000 - Olsen Brothers - Fly on the Wings of Love One I remember also, which has been played a lot in the radio here, is Milk and Honey - Halleluja, winner from 1979. Then there's Mr European Song Contest Johnny Logan who won three times with 1980 - What's Another Year? 1987 - Hold me now 1992 - Why Me performed by Linda Martin. His songs are still worth listening to. And then there's last years winner from Finland, Lordi with Hard Rock Hallelujah Well..."I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me

It turns out that it's easier and takes less time to take a course in the area of Copenhagen than one closer to here, as it's easier to get there with the train. I have already told you in a mail. :-) But about 500 kilometers away from Copenhagen, 3 hours with train, and the other place is 100 kilometers away but takes longer with the train. The infrastructure is not so developed here in my part of the country, not for us who don't have a car. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me

Yes Lena. Now you get, what you have earned and i feel happy for you. Thanks. :-) Oh, I do plan to sleep in the train with the work computer clutched in my arms. I'll book a seat in a quiet compartment, where I can get some sleep, the chairs are more comfy there. And people are not allowed to talk loud there, all noise are forbidden. It will be dark most of the time both ways. I have my eyes on a course on March the 5'th, but they, even they are arranged, are only held if enough people sign up for them. So on Monday when I get to work, I'll do so. I'll ask if I can take some pics from the office, I want you to see how good it looks like, the room, my desk, everything. Goooooood evening to the world!! Hey Champ! :-) Day off from the today? I have slept and rested today, that was good. Yesterday I was told that I can book myself to the first of the courses, so I spent some time last night looking into when and where, and I checked the trains also. It turns out that it's easier and takes less time to take a course in the area of Copenhagen than one closer to here, as it's easier to get there with the train. And I think I'll have to get up 4.30 am to catch a train at 6 am to be over there at 9, and then I'll go back again the same day, so that will be some long days. A few of the courses are over 3 days, but then I'll have a hotel room instead of traveling the long way every day. But it's very exciting. Yes, I do feel like this at the moment. I think they have chosen the Danish entry to the European Song Contest also, but I haven't heard it. But I love to watch the show. EDIT: No, they are showing it right now. So let's see which song that wins to represent us in the European show. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me
